The Peter Westbrook Foundation developes a new generation of leaders, scholars, and fencers
The Peter Westbrook Foundation is quite possibly the most successful and influential program of its kind in the country. Since its inception, PWF has seen thousands of inner-city kids come through its doors to learn the art and sport of fencing. The Foundation has produced collegiate, national and Olympic level fencers who have also excelled academically at prestigious high schools and universities.
The Foundation was started in 1991 by the legendary Peter Westbrook, winner of the Bronze Medal in Men’s Sabre at the 1984 Olympics. Westbrook used the sport of fencing as a way to escape the desperation that was all around him as a child growing up in the projects of Newark, New Jersey.
Today through his foundation, Westbrook is helping inner-city kids in the five boroughs of New York to realize their own dreams through fencing. The goals of the Westbrook Foundation’s programs include: enhancing cultural exchange, improving academic performance, preparation for college, and guiding career choices—while simultaneously teaching youth this exciting and unconventional sport.
As a non-profit organization, the Peter Westbrook Foundation relies on the generous contributions of corporations, individuals and organizations that have provided everything from funding and in-kind services to advertising, internships and training space. If you are interested in the Foundation’s Planned Giving or Endowment Campaign, feel free to contact Tom Tishman of Merrill Lynch directly by calling 908-879-3304.

Luckily we were able to pull off what I consider to be a very lighthearted look into Terrell's psyche through the eyes of Terrell.
