The Porches of Steamboat Springs, Colorado

If you happen to be traveling through Northern Colorado you may be surprised to find a beautiful town called Steamboat Springs that also goes by another name. Usually this type of endowment is reserved for the thriving metropolis. New York City is also the “Big Apple,” Chicago is the “Windy City” and from time to time, Las Vegas affectionately goes by the title “Sin City.” So when a small town’s name demands the same amount of attention, you can be sure that it has something special going on. In this particular case, that “something” is character. Steamboat Springs is also called called “Ski Town USA,” quite simply because it rests on some of the country’s most ski friendly terrain. The opportunity for sport is matched by the town’s charm and the range of its cultural developments. Character defines place in the same way that it defines people. The character of Steamboat was so strong and distinctive that it inspired a magnificent creation. Bruce Shugart, Shane Evans and Richard Dean are a group of developers who had a vision to create an exclusive community in Steamboat that embodied all of its natural wonders. The Porches is the realization of their vision.

Although purchasing a second home isn’t uncommon these days, some folks may find that the responsibility of ownership is more than they want to deal with. In such cases a partial ownership is also available. The Porches Private Residency Club is designed to provide dwellings that combine the comforts of a second home with the convenience of a 5-star hotel. Once a share is bought, six weeks of planned vacation are guaranteed with the option of additional access, based on available space. Their residences are fully and immaculately furnished with the option of four, five, or six grand bedrooms, each with its own full bathroom. Generous isn’t the word. The Porches residences are arranged in a private twin-home configuration, although once inside a resident or guest would never know it. Each three story town home features a variety of reclaimed or hand-distressed wood flooring. The professional grade kitchen can handle the demands of a gourmet chef and features granite counter tops, custom cabinetry, Wolf ranges and Subzero refrigerators. The space provides every necessary accoutrement, from blenders to Foreman grills. The kitchen opens to a great room with oversized couches and a farmer’s rock gas fireplace that serves as the room’s centerpiece. Massive bedrooms provide residents with the finest linens, flat screen tvs and the always appreciated private bathroom with Kohler faucets and fixtures. Each home has a unique feel with personal touches spread throughout the interior, ensuring all residents feel at home in their individualized surroundings.
